DataLoader Pro

Data loader Pro is an advanced feature provided by AutoRABIT. It is used for transferring data from source sandbox to destination sandbox in a more convenient way and automatically handles the parent-child relationship.

Features of Dataloader Pro:

Launch DataLoader Pro

  1. In the AutoRABIT home page, click on Dataloader > Dataloader ProThe Dataloader Pro summary page is displayed.

 

Creating New DataLoader Pro Process

  1. Click on Create New Job on the top right corner of the page to create new process.

  1. Choose Source and Destination sandboxes which will automatically populate the details of selected sandbox.
  2. Click Login and fetch objects:
  3. From the Object list displayed, select the required Master Object. You can filter the object using the search functionality (Quick Find) at the top-right corner of the screen.

  1. Upon selection of a master object, you can see the relationship between master object and child objects in the SCHEMA (GRID VIEW) section.

  1. Switch to Graph View: Change the grid view to graph view by simply clicking on Switch to Graph View. The graph shows all the parent and child objects of the selected metadata object.

  1. You can select a child object and save the process, to run it later, or choose the options to:
    • Filter records- 
    • Mapping (to map the parent and child nodes)-

Zoom-In the graph. We have an option to roll the mouse wheel to forward.

Zoom-out the graph. We have an option to roll the mouse wheel to backwards.

Collapse the Panel in that page.

 

Filter Records

  1. Click Filter of an object and you can see the selected parent object and the corresponding children objects. The following screen is displayed.

  1. Select the required option in respective fields. To add more values, click on Add.
  2. Optionally you can upload a CSV file if there is large amount of data and click Upload.
  3. Click Auto-populate and the filters will be auto-populated for selected field and operator based on the values of selected field in the uploaded CSV file.
  4. Next, select an Operator between AND & OR. Click Delete if you wish to delete the selected filters.
  5. Enter the Open or Close brackets as needed.
  6. In Record Count Limit, enter a value. Optionally you can edit the entered conditions.
  7. Click:
    • Validate to validate the entered values or
    • Apply to directly save the operation.

To add more filters, enter the values and click Add icon.

Edit the query directly from editor

Limit field will limit the number of records to be extracted from the source, give a value in this field.

Click Validate Query, to get the number of records that will be transferred from the source     sandbox to destination sandbox. The following screen is displayed:

 

Mapping

  1. Click Mappings on the child module, and the following window is displayed.

  1. Next, choose from the following options:
    • Clear Mappings : You can removed the auto mapping and you can setup manual mappings.
    • Auto-Map : To map the fields automatically based on fetched object fields with destination fields.
    • Save : Once the mappings completed Click on Save button to save the mapped fields for that object.
    • Cancel : Abort the process.

Process Details

In Process Details, the details for the data loading job being saved are given.

  1. Give a unique name in the Name tab with which the process will be saved for later use, and fill in other details.
  2. In Job Group, create a category in which the process will be saved.
  3. Master Object and External ID are auto-populated.
  4. You can edit the User name suffix of Source and Destination.

Process Schedule

  1. In the Scheduling procedure, the following options are available:
    1. Daily: the process is run every day at the scheduled time.
    2. Weekly: the process is run weekly on the scheduled day and time.
    3. No schedule: the process will only be saved and you can run it when required.
  2. Click Save to save the process.

Understanding the Process Summary Page of Dataloader Pro

After a process is created, it is displayed in the process summary page. From the Process Summary page, you can view the history of all the processes that are defined and run till date.

  1. You can do multiple operations on a job.

  1. Run: Allows to Run the processes that have been created in the selected category. We can provide the batch size for the process to give an option to fetch the number of records for each Salesforce retrieval.

Description

Disable Workflows

By clicking Disable Workflows, all the validation rules of the Salesforce objects will be deactivated and the data would be transferred from the source to destination sandbox.

Disable Validation Rules

Validation rules verify that the data a user enters in a record meets the criteria you specify before the user can save the record. By clicking Deactivate validation rule, all the validation rules of the Salesforce objects will be deactivated and the data would be transferred from the source to destination sandbox.

You can transfer bulk records in a go, from the
Source and destination

Minimize multiple references between same objects

When there are multiple references between same objects, unnecessary records may get picked up. This minimizes multiple references between same objects.

Incremental Data Migration

After a data loading process is done, only the newly added records are transferred into the destination sandbox.

  1. Edit: Edit the processes that have been created in the selected category to re-run it.

  2. Abort: Abort the process.

  3. Schedule: Schedule the data loading process for the selected category.

  4. Delete: Deletes a data loading job. A confirmation message is displayed asking whether you want to delete the job. On confirmation, the process is deleted. A deleted job will no longer be displayed in the summary page.

  5. Clone: Clone an entire category.

  1. Log: Logs provides information about the execution of a process.

Run:

Run the Process

Abort

Abort the running process. It is in disable state if the this process not in running state.

Edit

Allows the user to edit the details of a process. To edit a process, click edit and follow the steps done during the creation of the process.

Schedule

Allows the user to schedule the process at which it has to be run.

Log

Logs information and provides information about the execution of a process

Delete

Deletes a process. To delete, select the required process. Click Delete. A confirmation message is displayed asking whether you want to delete the process. On confirmation, the process is deleted. A deleted process will no longer be displayed in the summary page

Clone

Clone the selected process.

Changes the grid view to graph view. The graph view shows all the parent and child objects of the selected metadata object.
